So So Reception for portable audio and video

Powered by two AAA batteries, which some people may not like. I immediately replaced the earbuds that came with the radio with headphones (I just don't like headphones). The reception was good the first time, but the more I used it, the worse it got. Use this mostly at night, so maybe the fact that AM stations need to turn down their transmit power at sunset has something to do with it.
