I purchased this backpack to do some local hiking in the mountains around my home. The backpack is lightweight and has plenty of pockets for storing items for a day hike. It is also weatherproof so you don't have to worry about those unexpected rain showers. The only thing I don't really like is that it is not big enough to store trekking poles. I have a few different styles of trekking poles and none of them fit inside of the backpack. This is kind of a standard item for people doing day hikes and I would like to have either a pack be designed with this in mind or some way to securely attach them to the backpack.
