My 10 year old son wears a size 12-14. I bought 14-16 hoping for a small grow room as it's on Link and wanted this for Halloween and Comicon. He'll be able to wear it this year and that's it. At the moment this is the perfect size for him. I chose this suit over the slightly smaller one because this suit included "boots" and pants. The costume is made from the traditional cheaper flimsy fabric of children's costumes, but the detailing is good (another plus). Details - belts, shoe covers, elbow pads for a suit are also made of a more comfortable leather substitute. I was a little concerned that the shoe covers are too small as my son wears an 8 in men's running shoes but they will work as designed and hide his shoes. Usually I'm never happy when I spend more money but in this case my child is happy and this costume is reusable for a limited time.
