This backpack is just adorable! It's similar to others you can buy at Walmart or Target for a similar price. The backpack my child chose does not have sequins. The material is shimmery and it's a lovely soft purple blue color which is very pretty. A sticker with a heart inside to write her name is also very cute. As the saying goes, we shouldn't write our children's names on the outside of backpacks. Is it the most practical multi-pocket case with a padded part for a chrome book? no But my kid doesn't get a Chromebook until third grade, so that's fine. In a bag, material - thin plastic. Some have complained about the smell. I don't feel anything uncomfortable from this bag. The front pocket is just a pocket. No cute places for pens or keys. This is the basic backpack. The shoulder straps are padded and the size fits her if she goes to first class.
