Review on 🍳 TOAKS Titanium 1600ml Pot with Pan: Efficient Camping Cookware Essential by Ryan Hart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a decent product.

Light and strong enough. My 1600ml pot of Toaks had volume markings on the side. I like the functionality of the pan lid as it doubles as a trivet, plate, bowl and pan. You must be careful with the handle of the pan as the handle mounts are flimsy and fragile and tend to bend or warp if handled roughly or carelessly. The lid of the pan doesn't fit properly and falls off the pan easily when moved, but I suspect that might be the reason for the bag that comes with it. The lid of the pan works great as a lid when cooking. The bottom of my pan warped slightly after heating over a flame and now wobbles a bit on flat surfaces. It doesn't affect the work, but what flat surface can you find when hiking? The handles on the pot and pan are otherwise quite stable, comfortable to grip and insulated. It's possible that the handle insulation won't hold up when placed in hot coals, but I'm more inclined to place a real pot or pan in the coals and believe the handle insulation will survive in this context, albeit not in a foundry. Toaks offers a 1600ml version with a regular cap for a little less and a version with a regular cap and loop handle for half the price. First I drilled holes in the pot. Just below the rim of the pot, above the handle and across, I drilled 2mm holes and now I can stick a bent stainless steel bike spoke in one direction, thread it up to the head and slide the other end into the opposite hole. I can even water a full pot with this pen! The makeshift bow handle does not work when the pan lid is on, but tucks away without interfering with the pan lid when it is on but flipped to the side, or when removed and lowered to the bottom of the pot. I can put a pot on my Fancy Feast wick cooker and boil 48 ounces of water with a couple ounces of denatured alcohol, get a couple cups of coffee and a couple bowls of oatmeal, and get eggs and bacon in a skillet on an ultra-light stove, the Dead Fall burns. A fancy wick stove for a holiday table with a fuel bottle removed and a pot covered with a frying pan should also be good for melting a decent amount of snow! I only gave it 4 stars due to the lack of material connecting the pan handle to the frying pan. Pan.
