Have been using this USB-C cable for a few days now. I tested the functions for both charging and data transfer. Here are my thoughts: CHARGING: I connected the cable to my LG V30 via the Anker USB-C charger. The phone recognized Quick Charge 3.0 with this cable (the box is also QC 3.0 compatible) and charged the phone as fast as the original charging cable/box. The only thing to note is that this cable is very short - maybe around 9 inches, so it's only useful in certain conditions (perhaps for plugging into your car's USB port or a hotel USB port on your bedside table). DATA TRANSFER: I used this cable to connect my phone to the USB-C port on my HP laptop. I have around 2,000 photos in my phone storage, around 2.5 GB in total. I wanted to test the transfer speed from the phone to the laptop and with this cable it took about 30 seconds to transfer the entire 2.5GB which is pretty fast. does the job well.
