So my old Casio G-Shock is finally gone after years of hard use and abuse. I checked out the latest G-Shock line and was surprised to see what they are using these days. They have become trendy and popular, some reaching several hundred dollars. Not paying a lot of money for what is essentially working hours. I looked around and saw Tekmagic and saw that it was both inexpensive and had pretty good reviews. Decided to take a chance. So far, so good! Not in the same class as my old Casio but meets all my basic needs. The display is very easy to read for my old eyes, the backlight is decent and the strap fits my average wrist. They don't have all the bells and whistles that my other watches have, but I don't need them in my work hours. I can shower and swim with him and he has a good time. I'm sure they won't last as long as the watch I replaced them with, but at this price I can buy a pair of these and still come out on top. One happy customer so far! ππUpdate 15 5. After using this watch for a while (and not abusing it in any way), I noticed that the strap looks weird where it connects to the watch case. Upon inspection, I found that the belt was loose on one side. I pushed the pin into the body as best I could, but he pulled it out again. It looks like either the pin is too short or the watch case is so soft that any force would pull the pin out. I'd like to take it to a supervisor to double check, but if so I'll have to downgrade my rating to one star. I know these are cheap watches but at least they should hold together. Well I guess you can't beat them all! π’
