The skateboard itself is well made. The handle lasted one ride on Christmas morning before falling off (after being attached and made strong) and also ripped off and cannot be attached in a way that makes it strong. Our son is 4 years old so he definitely needs a pen to study. I guess we'll just let him until he's old enough to ride without a handle.
