Review on πŸ–±οΈ Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse (K64327EU): Precision and Comfort at Your Fingertips by Brett Blazis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Kensington Orbit trackball without ball cage.

it has 5 stars IFF (if and only if) the damn ball stays in the hole like the old/previous version which wasn't optical (rubber wheels fail). whoever leaves it on the table is ok, i use mine with a laptop and the ball is always more fun than i roll on the floor. I will try to find a way to make a ball holder. Another difference is that it feels cheap compared to the older, heavier. then move on again. i.e. 1 step forward and 3 step back. The cheap feel isn't really an issue when placed on a table or countertop. Now the good thing is that the ball handling is much smoother and easier than the old one. The shape is similar and I prefer Logitech. Good/Bad, the nice thing is that the blue balls from my old devices work great when the little black one is out of the office. Bad: I only have to pick up an extra ball if the original rolled away while exploring and isn't available. The redesign must have been done by someone who doesn't use a trackball! So if he's on the table or you like chasing your ball, that's great, said nuf
