I just received this backpack and I love it. I can easily see that this thing really lasts a long time. It's made of heavy canvas, such as you might see on a military-style sleeping bag. However, since it is a canvas backpack and not a nylon backpack, it is very flexible and will squish like a badly worn bag if you put it on the ground. The backpack looks great and when you open the backpack all the way, it has a lot of space. Because it is a tarpaulin, it is very comfortable on the back, as are the shoulder straps. I've always been one of those backpack collectors as I see the ones I like typically military style but this one is definitely my favorite at the moment and I'm switching to it and see that I'll be sticking with it for a very long time. . Definitely my new favorite bag. So far I've taken this backpack to work and stored my gear in it, and I've only used it to carry clothes, towels, glasses, chargers and other essentials around town. I will also use it for road cycling and to be honest it's probably my backpack that I use for everything now. I drew all the lines and seams and they haven't gone away. You can tell the canvas material is very strong yet flexible. You can say that this is a very well made backpack that will accompany you for years to come. I can't believe this backpack was only $42. I love it. Note: the buckles are cosmetic and actually have metal clasps underneath which I prefer because it would be tedious to undo the buckles every time. They seem very secure at the moment and I have no doubt they will open the canvas flap themselves which has some weight to keep it down/closed. I will update if there are any issues but for now this is a backpack steal for the price.
