I bought my L7EH monitor from COMPUSA. When I first plugged it in there were 3 dead pixels (below the RMA number). It wasn't as bright as the CRT I replaced, but we got used to it quickly. Last week the monitor started turning off about 30 seconds after the PC booted up. Each time I had to turn it off and on again. This still only works for about 30 seconds. I put the CRT back in and everything was fine. I tried a flat screen on another PC and the same thing happens. I called KOGi support and the first thing they asked was what PSU I am using. When I told them they said it could be 1 of 2 possible lighting issues. 1 is still under warranty, the other isn't. They told me it's impossible to tell what the problem is unless I send them the monitor. If the defective part is not covered under warranty, the repair cost is $370. After I stopped laughing, I politely asked her about returning this monitor and the difference between a warranty repair and a non-warranty repair. At this point, the conversation quickly swung south. They told me that they had no such information. I liked the LCD monitor to free up space on my desk (more room for other clutter). This was my first LCD flat panel and I'd rather buy another one than dice with KOGi and their repair policies.
