The perfect point and shoot camera

After a little research I bought a Nikon Coolpix S4300 silver camera. I was looking for a camera to replace the basic Olympus digital camera that I got as a bonus from Scholastic Book Clubs. I wanted something similar but more modern as this cell was a few years old when it finally died. I like that Nikon has a large touchscreen. This definitely makes finding menu items easier. I have not read the manual of the camera. I'm more of the "let's push this button and see what happens" type! This is a very easy to use camera. The clarity of the photos is amazing. It far surpasses my old Olympus! I recently took some photos at the local zoo. The fact that he took such wonderful, colourful, bright and clear photos of lizards in their glass enclosures in a darkened room amazed me. My old camera would never do that. I bought this camera for everyday use. I am a teacher and needed a simple CHEAP camera that I can use in school and keep in my pocket or purse for convenience. I think that's exactly what I found in the Nikon S4300. I'll admit I was really drawn to the red camera, but when it came down to it, the prize won out. The silver version was almost HALF the price of the others. After some comparative shopping I settled on silver because of the huge deal, just under $70! I couldn't find a camera with even half the quality and value for a similar price.
