I bought this doll just before I was diagnosed with breast cancer so it took a while to assemble. I wouldn't put a baby in it, I'm older and the cradles I've used have been much sturdier. The problem I have now is that the music box was missing screws to attach it. I have emailed Delta Customer Service as they refuse to take calls. I was ordered to send photos of the batch number; I have made. I was then instructed to send photos of the assembly brochure; I have made. In the last email I was told that the warranty had expired and as I didn't send them any pictures of what I did they couldn't help me. I would not recommend this product as it is not safe and if something is missing they don't seem to want to replace it or help.
