Nice set but not for small children

Bought this for my 4 year old niece. The kit is cute but the thread is difficult to work with. At first I thought that because of her age and fine motor skills she can't handle the beads, but I even had to make an effort to do it. The thread will fray as soon as you cut and bend it. So trying to put a bead on it requires patience and skill that not many young children have.
