Review on ๐Ÿฅƒ Large Double Stone Drinking Glasses by Roy Boone

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I like it but you should treat it like very fragile glassware.

I bought a glass to make macchiato in my tassimo. I love layers and these glasses are great for showing it off. I like holding it in my hands because it's so slim and ergonomic. And like I said, it really keeps you warm. Definitely well done. But they're too big for a macchiato unless you want to whip up a large, triple-caffeinated cup. It was my fault for overestimating my need for greatness. The problem is that they describe glass as durable. Well it is; but you have to consider how thin it is. And when you receive the package and read the warnings and instructions, you start to worry a little. I have treated her with care. But the first time my wife did a deep cleaning she was foolish and put it on the counter with obviously too much force for the glass and it cracked. She had now rinsed the glass with hot water, and a warning spoke of the rapid expansion of air inside the double-walled glass. There is a very small pinhole on the underside through which the air pressure should slowly equalize. Perhaps the glass was defective and the hole was plugged up, allowing it to build up enough pressure to crack with what I would consider normal use. The fact is that I am now so careful with the rest of the glass that I remove the wedding ring when cleaning. Every time the ring touches the glass I get excited. Therefore I would buy a smaller version of the Stone & Mill glasses again. They are well made and so cool. But I think the larger 15 ounce version is of limited use. While it's great for a large cup of iced tea, it's not something you'll want to use daily or occasionally on your patio.
