After reading many reviews of this towel I was quite nervous but I am very glad I bought it. I was so impressed with this towel that I wanted to share my own thoughts. If you like old flimsy towels then you might like this. If you like thick plush towels, then maybe not. I've always liked the thinner (cheaper) ones I've worn in towels myself so this was perfect for me. This towel is very thin and very absorbent. It seems to "stretch" a bit when you slide it across the skin and I would describe it as "gripping". It's like a towel catching water from your body and doing a great job. Not sure if it's a waffle pattern or material but I will never go there again. I've read reviews about this towel being non-slip and it's quite true, but I love it. I've also read that it sounds like "Shammy" and I would say "Shammish" at best, but I'm glad I didn't let that description discourage me (it almost does). The size is good too and it dries in a few hours.
