I've only had the case for two days but so far I love it. This is my first "permanent" case for any laptop. I bought it for a new M1 MacBook Pro 13". I looked at other popular brands and just didn't want to pay $55-80 or more. It was easy to put on, seems to offer good protection (again, I did it's only been around for a short time) and I think it looks nice. That might be a minus for others, but a plus for me. The little ribs on the sides that secure the computer and keep it in place leave the lid closed very little space. While this can allow dirt or dust to get in, it protects the screen from particles that could touch (and possibly scratch) the screen when the lid is closed. I also like the weight of the lid adds. The new M1 MacBook Pro had a significantly lighter lid than my 2015 model and I found it awkward to open and close. It was too finicky. When the computer is in the bag it shines a lot to be robust and easy to open. Of course, the only thing to watch out for is dirt and particles getting between the case and the computer. Be sure to take your computer out and clean it and the case from time to time. Also, and this is important, when attaching the top of the case to the cover, be very careful not to press too hard, or simply press the case cover against the top of the computer when it is closed. Make sure the lid is open and note the position of the tabs as you put the top of the case back on. Gently press down on the computer case and cover on the side of each tab until they snap into place. Do this for each individual tab, don't just press the entire top of the computer lid. Too much force can damage the screen. This is very easy if you create the tabs one by one. Pros: - Looks great. - Very easy to put on. - Adds the correct weight and weight to the computer (especially the lid), although this may be a disadvantage for others. - It looks like it offers good fall protection, which I need because I always accidentally slip my computer off the couch onto the floor. - Decent price for such protection. Cons: - If you are not careful during installation, especially the top, you could accidentally damage the screen. - I think it would be better if the black (rubber material?) case was a bit more flexible like most durable iPhone cases. I think this offers more protection from damage from falls. However, this is just my opinion, I'm not an engineer, so this could be the ideal achievement. I hope I never have to find out. If I could I would give 4.5 stars based on the hardness of the black rubber material. However, this may not even be an issue, which is why I'm leaving my rating at 5 stars. I also gave it 4/5 stars for durability because I haven't had it long enough to rate it. I definitely look durable. If things change over time I'll update my review and explain why. Also, I took 4 photos to explain some points of my review, but I get an error no matter what image or product I try to attach images to. Revane says they are working on it and will let me know. As soon as I can upload photos I will. I hope this review helps someone decide whether or not to buy this case.
