You know I have no idea why I bought these in the first place. I bought wooden dishes. and was buying a wooden napkin holder to use as a letter holder when these pinch trays popped up on the suggested list of 'buy with this' items below. I use these a lot! Not as plates (for cooking) but as versatile items on my desk. You can store loose change, paper clips, pins, etc. They're small square bowls but they're so well made and they look great on my desk and go with my "all wood" theme that I'm going for here. The quality is very good, the wood is smooth. I imagine they would be very good as tongs, but I just dump the spices and condiments into my hands when cooking, so I don't really need them for this. Desk accessories - yes, that's what they're good for.
