When I was originally looking for a new gaming mouse (I previously had a Logitech mouse with 4 thumb buttons and 3 index finger buttons, no wheel and L/R), I flirted with idea of getting an MMO mouse. The 12 thumb buttons were intimidating at first because I had to learn so much muscle memory in a short amount of time. Luckily the design splits the buttons in two so you can focus on 6 buttons at once rather than all 12 at once like other MMO gaming mice (mice?). Now I use this mouse for everything. MOBA, FPS, whatever. My left hand is completely free to focus on the player's movement all the time, while my left handles all actions/attacks/casts. I only have 2 small flaws. I used to have a Logitech G700 with early G-series macro software (discontinued) that allowed users to create macros for pressing multiple keys. This was perfect for MMOs that had mods that allowed you to bind a macro to a key, like [L ALT+RIGHT CLICK -> bound to -> KEY 5]. The new G-Series software, which has been around for a number of years, no longer allows this. To be on time, macros just need to be right to have buttons on time. The only difference is that to use the above example I have to hold down the Alt key and click the button. The second question I have is related to the service. I have animals, cats and dogs, so hair is an issue. This is my second Logitech G600 (and even third!) since 2014-2015. My first never died, the wheel stopped working normally. Hair and dust wrapped around the wheel arches, detaching them from the sensors so I couldn't read my input. Easy to fix if I could take it apart, but the screws are hidden under beautifully designed skid plates and will cause permanent damage when removed.
