The fact that it is easy to use, has many great features (such as automatic retouching), can be easily customized using third-party plugins/extensions or built in functions, multiple image outputs options, etc., very powerful editor with lots of useful tools (for example, an excellent selection tool for cropping). Sometimes there are some limitations when working from within LightRoom itself - you cannot perform certain actions such as rotating items around their axes without first opening LRCCO Editor plugin which then allows performing these things natively inside of LR.
