I bought several different battery fans to try. Sent the rest back, kept this one and bought a second one. On the bottom 2 settings it's VERY quiet but gives surprisingly good breeze. I left it on level 2 all night and the battery didn't die. We had a 17 hour power outage last summer - no air conditioning, no fans - so this summer I wanted to be ready with battery powered fans! This is definitely one to buy.
