My Cocker Spaniel is SO picky! We bought a "cute" bathmat and every morning she laid it in a ball where she snuggled up and slept through the night. It was so uncomfortable because it's such a big carpet. So, go to Revane to find a bed for her! She never slept on any of the dog beds I've bought (and there were a TON of them) and most of the time she left them for her older (dog) brothers to destroy. BUT NOT THAT! She immediately dragged him into the downstairs bathroom and lay down. Now I find her (when she's not under my feet!) She's sleeping in it, snuggling in it and hasn't touched our carpet! Truly amazing! She doesn't let big dogs near her. I didn't notice any separation of fibers and there was no smell right out of the box. I was worried the small size might be too small but this is perfect. I would definitely buy it again (and maybe buy it for another room).
