Review on 🦌 Hudson Baby Unisex Baby Cotton Flannel Receiving Blankets, Moose Design, One Size - Warm and Cozy Essentials by Peggy Petty

Unsafe material of very poor quality.

I didn't buy them for the purpose they are normally used for. I read an article that suggested using baby blankets/burp cloths to make face masks. I thought the pattern on it would be perfect for my daughter who works in a retail store and has to wear a mask 8 hours a day. Upon receiving them I noticed that they were too loosely woven to be effective. I folded one of these in half, brought them to my nose and mouth, and was still able to breathe through them fairly easily even when folded in four. I have some pads so I figured I could still use them as the outer cover of the mask with the appropriate material hidden inside. The first thing I did was wash them (with my bamboo sheets that don't lint) as soon as I took them out of the washing machine I noticed that they were completely faded and looked like they had been used for at least 10 years. I don't know what type of dye is used but if I were to use this on a child I wouldn't want them sucking the dye out of them, secondly they had a few strands sticking out, I think it's due a very poor flannel quality. This is a safety issue if you use it on a child. Now they are ugly and useless. I wish I had known that before I washed them, I would have sent them back. I think I'll use them as rags around the house until I throw them in the trash.
