Review on 🧊 ICEPURE UKF8001 Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement - EveryDrop, Whirlpool Filter 4, Maytag UKF8001AXX-200 - 4PACK by Trey Michaels

These filters are cheaper for a reason. I read the reviews and ordered because I thought there were a lot of so called "own brand" products that are made exactly like the "brand" but sold for less money because of the packaging etc. I got lucky with that theory, but these filters didn't hit the mark. Brand name filters are around $45 for one filter and a pack of 4 is around $35. BECAUSE. I followed all the instructions to install and clean the water before drinking but after about a week my ice cream and water had a DISGUSTING stench and TASTE GOOD! I googled the reason for this and came to the conclusion that it is due to certain minerals in our water THAT DO NOT FILTER WITH THESE FILTERS. It's okay, I've learned my lesson. FOR MY FRIDGE, filters have to be one of those things we only buy well-known brands for. I have no doubt they filter out SOME rubbish and I knew it would be a gamble if the price was 'too good to be true' but obviously didn't work for us so I'm giving 4 stars , because they cost about as much as you cost.
