I build Gunpla Gundam model kits and the parts come attached to the sprue so don't tear off the parts, you need a good hobby knife or a good blade but you can be a bit dangerous so a good wire cutter or small sharp hobby scissors is the best way to cut off some of the sprues, that's fine. extra plastic or file it down, this is the most durable I've had, they usually break or tarnish and sometimes even fall apart, now they hold up well, usually this type of scissors has a little bend so it's straight I start I didn't like it but after a while I got used to it, now I would buy curved pliers of the same because sometimes it's difficult to cut some parts, everything is unique, I was a bit confused when they came up with the Mail came because it was standard Revain packaging, but the packaging for the wire cutters themselves was a small square cardboard box that you wouldn't get at a craft or hobby store. Overall I'd buy another one. It's cheaper than most really good hobby and model cutters, but it's good if you're just starting out collecting model kits. I'm sure it's good for other hobbies too.
