I just got the EX110 and am using it now. I simply turned off my machine, removed my existing mouse and keyboard (special old connectors, not USB), replaced them with the connectors on the wireless receiver end, restarted the machine, and freed the wired keyboard for the first time. and mouse. I have a small problem - on this machine I have XP Pro installed on the main IDE and Linux on the secondary - so when I want to switch from one to the other I go into the BIOS utility to select the boot drive. - When I first tried this, the BIOS warned me that I don't have a mouse or keyboard - however, it worked on the second try (booting into Linux) and also on the third try (booting back into XP). The keyboard feels normal to me, and the mouse feels more substantial compared to what I've used before. I lowered the mouse resolution by about 30 percent because it was more responsive than the old mouse I was using (in XP Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options --> Select Pointer Speed). Knowing how easy and inexpensive it is to get a wireless mouse and keyboard working, I would have done it a long time ago. I'm very happy with the EX110.
