We bought this hose exactly three years ago Revain was first and foremost because my roommate was keen on that particular brand, but my excellent hardware store next door (where I bought another Tuff-Guard bought hose) told me they don't sell it anymore A year or two ago, my eldest tuff- The protective hose broke off the brass fitting (we've continued to use it to water bushes in the yard, but we can't No more attaching nozzle to it, you just have to put your finger on the end of the hose where the brass connector used to be. ) Tonight the brass bushing on my new (three year old) Tuff-Guard hose came loose. While this can be done by purchasing subscriptions for most hoses, attaching brass end fittings and tightening with clamps from the hardware store, you just can't do that with this type of hose with its unique structure. If the original brass connector has come loose, you should simply omit a connector on that end of the hose. I think that such low strength is unacceptable for such an expensive hose. (But I gave it three stars because we really liked it while it was still usable.)
