These wax beans melt easily and smell nice but wax does not remove ALL hair. I warm mine up before applying, as hot as my skin can take and it still has hair on it. However, it is easy to remove and does not cause pain. I had about the same skin irritation as using hot wax in a microwave or using an electric epilator. A hair follicle was bleeding, which didn't surprise me as my skin bleeds just by looking at it. It does not hurt. There is no actual skin damage or rashes.
