This is the second Olympus Tough I have owned. The first died after 3 years bringing it to the beach and eventually the seals gave up and let the water (sea water) in. During the day, this camera takes decent pictures when there is enough light. I would say the picture quality is decent but not the best. Still, it compares well to other point-and-shoot cameras. 720p HD videos are great too. I have several complaints about this camera. Firstly, I've already taken it to the pool and beach, I notice that every time I come home and try to upload photos, some water appears. This tells me that the chamber will probably fail in a couple of years because water is already seeping into the seals. Another thing I don't like about this camera is that every time I turn it on it asks me to connect it to my computer before I do anything. I do NOT want to connect it to a PC so leave me alone. Just take a picture as you suggest. A few seconds are wasted trying to get the camera to start taking pictures. Overall this is a good camera and for the price you can't beat it.
