Other review is correct, this item arrived without working. Sold by Tether Tools, operated by Revain Prime. In addition, the product packaging (inside the shipping envelope) was covered in a sticky brown coating, as if coke or coffee had been spilled on it during shipping preparation. This abomination devoured all my hands as I reached for the shipping envelope while working with my camera the entire time. Bad combination. I tested the camera with my regular 15" USB 2.0 cable - works fine, always has. other ports and other cables combined with this extension - no luck. After such a lousy initial experience, I tried to find something good in it to justify a second chance with this product or any other product from the company. I will say that I like the thickness of this cable. It feels solid and the orange color catches the eye. Aside from actually working, it was basically everything I expected... On the other hand, an unforeseen consequence of the thickness and how tightly it was twisted (not too tight!) is that even after being massaged and unwrapped like with other cables it still won't lay flat on the ground. This creates what I think is more dangerous than the thinner black cable it was supposed to extend. I want this to work, I want to eliminate my only complaint and see if it goes away over time. This item is overpriced but whatever it is I bit the bullet because I think this product has potential. I thought I was paying for reliability and a new (clean?) product, which I didn't get either. I would be willing to forgive the odd production flaw, but the only other review. recently. has the same problem. Skeptical and unsatisfied. I really wish I had had the best experience.
