I'm a sheet snob and compare this to the pillowcases I currently have. These 500 thread count pillowcases are very heavy and look well made. I love their eco-friendly cardboard packaging that shows no plastic. The pillowcases are pure white as stated in the product description. I ordered the damask stripe which I feel gives the bedding a richer look. I always choose white sheets to bleach from time to time to keep them fresh. I washed these pillowcases twice because they were so hard after the first wash. They are still tough and somewhat prickly. I hope they get softer with every wash. I prefer supima cotton or egyptian cotton sheets because they are much softer, but the price is much higher. I really like the heaviness of the fabric on these pillowcases and really hope they soften over time. Overall, I recommend them for the cheap price and the density of the fabric.
