CamelBak "Improves " Design

Brown Bought to Meet Certain Uniform Standards; Anyway, the left side is my ABU pattern which I have had for over 5 years. The right side is the brown product I bought. I'm not entirely sure if it has to be the "newer" model, but the beige one I bought doesn't easily remove the waist belt. My ABU had the lap belt attached with Velcro and could be removed and put back on, but on the brown one I cut the lap belt off at the end because it was sewn in place. It's just a problem for me because I don't need a hip belt at all, so I don't like having it there. Also, the brown model appears to have lower quality fabric, material, etc. I believe the brown model should be a 'newer' model and instead of being better than the old one it just skimps on quality to save money. at production level. There is a clear difference between Molle attachment points. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I don't care because I've never used them. I can't comment on the quality of the hydration system or bladder as I don't use them so I remove them.
