As you can see the chain pig theme is definitely fun. After receiving the chain pig and taking it out of the box, I was surprised at how strong the plastic felt is. The brushes inside the chain pig are quite durable, and the sponge in the pig's nose is of good quality. I've only used the chain plunger once to clean a chain that didn't neglect a light clean but had build up with some black grease/paste. The chain hog was easy to use, attached to the bike with no issues, and I filled the chain hog with some natural, biodegradable Trader Joe's kitchen degreaser. After turning the chain in the opposite direction for about 30 seconds, soapy water formed on the chain from the chain scraper. I drained the chain plunger, replaced the degreaser with water, and repeated the process until the chain was free of the degreaser. When all was said and done, the chain looked much cleaner on the outside, with no noticeable lubrication, and between the links and roller edges. So far I'm happy with the purchase and have no regrets for not purchasing the Park Tool or a cheaper equivalent.
