Pros: The slider is motorized and can be operated in automatic or manual mode. NP batteries are used. Compatible with most digital SLR cameras. easy to use - Made by GVM, a brand with good products Poor - Quite heavy for its size - The plate that holds the camera doesn't move. This slider, being an aluminum model, makes it a bit heavy for the size and compared to the larger carbon fiber slider I have. However, aluminum is a durable material that should definitely make this push bar easier to work with. When it comes to the plate that holds the camera, it doesn't move and the screw has no way of reaching it. at the bottom which leaves the ability to rotate the camera onto the mounting screw only, so you have no control over where the camera will point once the camera is tightened onto the screw. The solution to this problem is to use any tripod head compatible with the camera you are using and a mounting screw. This allows you to point the camera anywhere and tilt the camera if needed. With the motorized function, the sound of the motor can be described as loud, especially when you hold the microphone close to it, so ideally this slider should be used at a good distance from the microphones. The movement is very smooth, which makes for excellent video footage. Manual and Auto modes are great as they offer more control. The slider can move at high speed when set to 100% to very slow when set to 1%, which is ideal for time lapse. It got me this slider with different cables for different DSLRs and the ability to control the time-lapse settings with the remote. The slider can also be used on one or two tripods. Personally I would suggest using two tripods instead of one as the weight of the camera could potentially shift the horizontal line of the slider and ruin your footage. Overall I am very happy with this slider and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Additional note: I tested this slider with a Canon 90D and 85mm lens and a BMPCC4K and 24-105mm lens. The slider handles both without problems.
