When I received it, I installed it on my iPhone, pressed the play button and was very disappointed! They sounded like an old transistor radio with no bass (if you're old enough to remember). But after a few minutes they suddenly improved and now they are excellent. You need a burn-in period. They also have much better bass response and snug insulation - so keep in mind that you'll get the best sound if you feel a little pressure on the earbuds. And for fun, you can read the English translation of the Chinese instructions. Some of them were impossible to interpret but they made me and my wife laugh. Those stupid Chinese are always good for a joke. Another point is that they are very effective - you can hear them clearly at around half the input level of cheap headphones.
