Review on Discover the Timeless Elegance of Butter Bell Tremain Collection by Cesar Danger

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Warning, we think it's a fake!

First let me say that I believe this is a fake and not the real L. Tremain. We've used and LOVED the Tremain Oil Bell in our house since 2003, so we're intimately familiar with its form and function. If our previous one hadn't been engraved on a soapstone countertop we'd still be using it, but unfortunately this tiny missing piece of pottery allowed water from the container to seep into the porous material of the bell beneath the glaze, causing a crack . . Not wanting to harbor bacteria, we thought it was time for a swap. This oil bell is very nice but the rim of the bell is poorly glazed and I am concerned that water will get in, causing cracks in the ceramic and bacterial growth. Also, there is a COMPLETELY different label on the bottom of the water tank. All these issues lead me to believe that this is fake and I will return it. Sorry, our health is more important. Please check carefully what you get!

Pros
  • DURABLE HIGH QUALITY CERAMIC FOR LONGEVITY. Butterbell shards are made from a proprietary high quality ceramic blend called New Bone China. This liquid clay mixture is poured into ready-made plaster molds and then left for several hours. After drying, the oil containers are carefully removed from the molds, glazed and fired at 2200 degrees to obtain a beautiful, scratch-resistant surface. The shards are lead or cadmium free and come with a 2 year limited warranty.
Cons
