This product is excellent for color retention. It's been about 2 months since I colored my hair and I've used Splat and it has helped keep the color vibrant. I love the smell, if you've used splat dye you know it smells like berries and this shampoo and conditioner smells the same, but it doesn't leave a strong scent on your hair. After you shampoo your hair leave the conditioner in for 5 minutes and then it's a warm rinse, I rinse with cold water and after towel drying I apply a UV protection screen. The hair is soft and easy to comb after use. Definitely recommend
