Frees up your desk when using a laptop monitor combo

This SupeDesk monitor stand is a good solution for a cluttered desk used with a laptop and a monitor. Just pay attention to the combined weight. The mount comes with two VESA adapters so you can use it to mount two monitors. For my setup I decided to use a laptop adapter on a spring arm and a VESA adapter on a regular arm. The assembly isn't terrible, but it will take you some time to put it together. You can probably assemble it by placing it on a table or holding it in your hands, but that's going to be a problem. As instructed in the instructions, you must first attach the base to the table and then assemble the remaining parts onto the fixed base. This forced me to move my desk (which already has tons of cables on it and underneath it) away from the wall so I can use the clamp to go back there and assemble it. It's easier in the long run if you mount it on site or very close to the final destination. The assembly is not difficult, but takes time. In terms of functionality, it does a great job of freeing up space on your desk when you have a laptop and a monitor on its stand. The arms give you some flexibility and customization of the layout in terms of height and spacing. There are a few different sized hex screws so you'll need to use the appropriate hex wrench to check which one fits, but you can tighten the connections to support heavier hardware. The maximum load is rated at 19.8 pounds. That should be enough for most modern 22-27 inch laptops and monitors. However, if you're using a C-clamp and your table is a little flimsy, I'd approach the 19.8-pound max weight with caution. I think if you're using the hub base option and your table has some weight then this isn't a problem at all, but in my case I feel more confident tightening the bolts and probably staying under 15 pounds. Overall, this is a good combo stand. The assembly will take some time, but the end result - the freed up space on the table - is worth it.
