Review on πŸ“€ Toshiba BDX2250 Black WiFi-Enabled Blu-ray Disc Player by Chris Russell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I call Toshiba and ask for my money back.

I've had this player for a few years now. This has got to be the most useless junk I've bought in a long time. I bought it as an extra player for my bedroom and didn't use it much at first. But as soon as I spent more time watching movies, I realized how terrible this player is. Did you press the button on the remote control? Fiction. Wait 3 seconds before anything actually happens on the screen. Watching Netflix and pressed the button? Even better. Next press. After about 7 or 8 button presses, the player finally acknowledges this. I bought a Roku to replace this player as my internet video streamer and have been very happy with it. The turning point and what prompted me to write this review is the Blu-ray playback. I'm trying to watch Taken 2 but the player doesn't recognize it as a Blu-ray Disc. This isn't the first time a player has done something like this. If I get rid of this player, I will throw it away, not give it away. Nobody deserves to put up with that. The bottom line is that I will never buy anything from Toshiba again. If they can produce something that horrible as a company, I have lost all hope that they will have products that will redeem them.

Pros
  • Internet stream
Cons
  • Big and chunky
