FAULTS in design caused discomfort if velcro stayed closed and sock fell off

Trial repeated 3 times with two socks on hind legs. Each time, the velcro stayed on the foot, but one or both socks slipped off, leaving a velcro loop fastened over the dog's hair and a puddle of the sock at the end of the paw. Last time our poor elderly Australian started running laps before bed (uncharacteristic). He squeezed it to remove the loose sock. The Velcro was most likely tugging at his fur or biting his skin, as the loop of the Velcro was still attached over his rear "elbow" and snagged on the fur. Additionally, there is a metal "button" riveted on one end of the Velcro, which puts pressure on the dog's paws as the Velcro must be wrapped directly onto the metal fastener. We're out of velcro! Btw, these socks were too tall for our 35lb Aussie. Vendor: Ditch the metal fastener and Velcro and use a spring-loaded plastic switch on a closed drawcord sewn into the sock. Since socks inevitably slip, why not lay non-slip grips around? Happy to buy from you again if you create a new design.
