Let me start by saying that this product should cost between $120 and $150. For $300 I was expecting this thing to be very loud and not hear a word of what anyone is saying when it's around. I turned it all the way on in my empty office and could still hear, louder than usual, a conversation sitting 3 feet away. Don't get me wrong, for such a small package it has great little punchy bass (probably due to the empty space you're stuffing things in) but volume wise it's just for a cool party. The JBL Flip I have is almost as loud, and it's also waterproof. That leaves three other attractive points (indestructibility, use as a charger/dry box and battery life). Those are all good things, but when you're spending $300 I think the speaker must be great! Save money and buy something better or smaller. Personally, I will be returning mine and buying a JBL Boombox to offset the need for a waterproof Bluetooth speaker.
