Round lids work well.
One of my round plastic lids has cracked after use. Plastic ends up in your food. So I prefer glass lids to plastic lids for health reasons. But I don't think glass lids come in all sizes, but solid plastic lids will do. I bought several Pyrex glass rectangular containers for 3 cups. The lid from the thrift store was already broken. So I'm not sure if the lid would leak less if it hadn't been split. Rectangular glass lids fit snugly and tightly. Definitely no risk of leakage. Glass lids may have less risk of leakage than all-plastic rectangular lids. Around all plastic lids fit well.
