This is a very affordable cake stand, but compromises may justify its purchase. This entire product consists of 3 acrylic parts that can be used for different purposes. I've seen a glass version that does this, but it's not embossed. You can't use microfiber with acrylic or you'll leave thousands of tiny scratches that will dull the surface. It's also gas permeable, so wash it well and don't leave strong-scented stuff in there forever. However, I'm fussy and clumsy so keeping it clean isn't difficult, but I've already dry cleaned the hat. twice I was glad it wasn't glass. Also, acrylic doesn't condense moisture quickly in the frame and is a better thermal condenser, which means I can put fresh croissants on this rack and they stay warm longer and don't get soggy after a while. Finally, it's very light, so I can remove the small stand and use it to carry cakes or treats without overloading it, and it can stand on my microwave without slowly turning its top into a hyperbolic paraboloid. Overall I would recommend it unless you are really lazy and don't want the glass to be easy to clean and non-porous.
