Okay these are comfy stretchy hats, not the stretchiest I've seen but somewhere in between. Actual measurements are very close to what is advertised, with slight variations I measured 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches long which is more than enough for my purposes, not enough to take the star off. The reason for deducting two stars (wish half the stars were allowed) was that one of the hats had a seam at the top that ripped on the second run in my washing machine. That can be too much, but sometimes hats need cleaning. I have another branded 100% acrylic hat that has been through dozens of washes over the years and has held up well. It might just be a coincidence, it does happen, but time will tell if the other two hats hold up.
