It's like an invisible spotlight in the garden. Excellent purchase!

Just replaced tonight. I went outside when it was dark and plugged it into an extension cord so I could try a few different angles and locations in the house to find the best position for the install. I found that the higher I got, the further the light got from him. I used 3 drywall screws to attach it to the sheathing of the house and it's going nowhere. I live in the middle of the desert with no streetlights. The only light I have are the lamps in my house that I have installed. My Nest doorbell doesn't seem to emit enough infrared light at night to pick up much detail. Especially when someone is walking on the other side of a dirt road, when you pause the video, they look like a few pixels. I wanted something clearer to have a better idea of who is there so I bought this light. So far I haven't had anyone walk by, which is pretty rare at night where I live, but I tested it myself walking down the street/picture and it worked much better than before the IR. I was very bright, like a spotlight was shining on me. The infrared lamp itself is very dim to the naked eye. I installed it near an external light source so it's really hard to see unless you know what you're looking for. At this point, my first impression of it is very impressed. Five stars everywhere. It's like an invisible spotlight on the street that doesn't bother neighbors or passers-by. Better than a headlight in some ways. I intend to get another one for my garden, which is also pitch dark and very large. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to get the maximum distance and clarity out of night camera footage. I've only used it one day so can't say much about durability but I'll update my review if anything changes.
