Review of S&S Hydrate and Clubman Pinaud

This review compares Clubman "Pinaud 2-in-1" Face/Beard Moisturizer and Stubble & Stache "Hydrate" so I'm posting one and the other other same review for both products. I have a short beard and have tried many brands and types of products to help with itchy skin and coarse hair. I've experimented for years and found that I don't like beard oils (for the skin under my beard) or beard balms (beard care). So I wanted to try something different - and discovered "beard friendly" leave-in face creams. These are leave-in conditioners, they are used after brushing/shaving and are left on the skin and beard. I only found these two products, so maybe this is a new type of product? Bottom line: Clubman is more like a traditional facial moisturizer that won't harm your beard, while S&S is a beard conditioner that won't harm your skin. . I prefer S&S but it's much more expensive. - Overview - Feel: Clubman is more like a traditional facial moisturizer in thickness and spreads easily over the skin. S&S is thicker than normal face cream. First I applied Clubman to the face/nose, then progressed to the neck and finished with the beard and with S&S I started and finished with the beard. Different, but both work. Aroma: Clubman has a pungent floral scent, and other reviews say the scent is the same across all Clubman products. S&S has a subtle metallic aroma. I prefer S&S to Clubman, but it depends on the person (and who you're giving it to) Effectiveness: Clubman evaporates/absorbs more quickly throughout the day, so needs to be reapplied more often. . I could have S&S twice a day (or just once a day), but I need Clubman three times a day. The Clubman leaves my beard in more control than the S&S, but not (for me) in a good way. I'm looking for a beard softener but with style control. Cost: There's no getting around it, S&S is five times more expensive than Clubman (per ml). Yes, it costs 500% more. Conclusion: I like Stubble & Stache Hydrate better - it is easier to spread and lasts longer. However, S&S is not 500% better than Clubman. If the S&S was only 3x more expensive I would recommend it without hesitation. I prefer S&S as a standalone product and will continue to use it. But I will keep looking for companies that make similar products. Note: I also tried ArtNaturals Beard Conditioner, but this is a traditional rinse-off conditioner. It also has a very strong floral-medicinal scent, so I discontinued it after one use.
