Review on BERING Womens Solar Powered Stainless by Tracey Navasca

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Still not working well and VERY complicated and poorly designed strap/clasp

Packaging: ridiculous. The company needs to be so minimalist and sustainable, and the packaging is HUGE, HEAVY and unnecessary. Watch: nice, but I find the dial to be too big compared to the narrow strap (it just looks unbalanced). me). It was DOA but bringing it to light hasn't taken ENOUGH time (lots of hours which makes me nervous). And the second hand doesn't count seconds - it counts every TWO seconds, which I've never seen in a watch unless the battery dies. So I'm VERY nervous. Band: This is simply the worst design I've ever seen. It doubles on its own and requires incredible skill (which I have!) to make it work. Once you finally find the right size, it's STILL too difficult to put on and take off on your own (unless you're skilled). I wonder what to do with this watch. All my other solar powered watches are Citizen EcoDrives and I liked them instantly, but I just couldn't find a black one I liked so I gave these a try. There are no reviews for this watch yet, so I decided to share my first impressions. At the moment I'm leaning towards a return. UPDATE: Changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars. I read some reviews on the Bering website and it seems to me that this watch needs LOTS of light for everything to work. So I kept it in the box for 3 days. Finally the second hand has started working and the watch is showing a great time. The clasp is driving me insane. This is NOT a watch you can grab and put on as you run out the door. The horrible design doesn't allow me to consider this watch as a 4 star watch. I like the look of the watch although I still feel the strap is too narrow for my face. I went back to Citizen EcoDrives and looked at all the black watches they have (!) and I just found a BIG black watch that wasn't attractive or a SMALL nice one that I can't read. So I decided to keep it. I will update again if anything changes.
