Review on TIMMKOO Bluetooth Pedometer Waterproof Portable Portable Audio & Video by Joshua Castillo

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I really wanted to like the TIMMMKOO MP3 player BUT.

I really wanted to like this device. Great price, 32Gigs!, BT, decent reviews. So I bought it to replace my old Ipod Nano 5th Gen 16Gig, Release 2015! At first I was struck by the MP3 player's weight and how solid and compact it felt. The watch band and "clip" accessory seemed fine, but I opted for a clip as the watch band was a bit tight even at the last hole. It took a while to set up, but the device was fully charged. My Mac didn't recognize the drive at first, but after about a dozen tries it showed up. He didn't accept my playlists but he took my entire music folder. It took about 2 hours to fully load the player. Other settings were introduced, such as B. the time, and as mentioned, it only shows the military time, which is disappointing. Pairing wasn't as easy as advertised, requiring multiple attempts to connect two different headphones and two BT speakers at a time. The sound seemed great on all bands and the wired headphones sounded great too. However, just using the device was a bit cumbersome. The touchscreen wasn't very accurate, and it took several attempts to tap the correct line to select songs. I have thumbs, but seriously. And the operating system is quite simple, with easy file management. No bells, no whistles, no simple ratings or "hearts" of favorites, no album covers. Nothing as mentioned in other reviews. I know it's kinda cool to compare it to the Touch Wheel, iTunes and iPod OS. Let it charge overnight. Now the saddest part of the review. I forgot to use the device for a day or two, and when I finally turned it on and plugged in the wired headphones, the battery said it was fully charged. Two people sat down to play mobile games on my phone. I kept accidentally turning off the player as it doesn't have a "LOCK" button and turning on/off seems unnaturally sensitive and the player died after a few minutes. I checked and said the battery was dead. Confusing. I know I charged it all night. So I connected it to the battery and left it on the table. An hour later the battery said it was charged, so I plugged in a pair of headphones, clipped them to my bag and, still sitting, put the bag on my head. Well, as I said, the weight of the player used to impress me, but now the clip failed to hold the player on the strap and even ripped the player off the headphones. It fell about a meter, and the screen broke a quarter of the way from one corner and broke off the edge at another spot. Disappointing to say the least. I've dropped my 5th gen iPod Nano hundreds of times, but the aluminum has only scratches. Only a few weeks of use and I seem to have a brand new player with a cracked screen and possible battery issues. I guess for $40 it's not that bad but I think I'll be looking for a replacement for it very soon. Like I said, I really wanted to like it. $40 for a 32G, BT, watch size MP3 player?!? Should I try to request a refund or just write it off as a lesson? This is my dilemma now.
