I got this on a whim because my laptop was overheating in this heat. I have it at the lowest height and the fan sits behind my laptop. The air circulation has solved this problem! What I didn't expect is that my hands and wrists feel more comfortable at this angle when typing on the laptop, and I have less back pain because the screen is up and I don't lean as much. Win, win! For me, the two lips on the front of the stand are flush with my laptop (they don't extend past the thickness of my laptop) so I don't feel them when my wrists rest on them. I have an HP Elite Book. For me it was a good buy!
