So I didn't get this for a bow tie but for suspenders. My son is a very skinny boy, he fits in 2T pants but they are too short as he is almost 5 years old. It should be in 4T. But the 4T falls right off his ass, we always had trouble getting my son's pants to fit him properly. The straps don't work as there aren't actually any straps for toddlers. I've tried tying ropes/strings around his waist but since he's so active they don't work so I had to find another way. I went the only way I could and that was braces. I've never been a fan of suspenders as I don't like the way they look but they are really well made and I love that I don't have to worry about my son's pants falling down to his ankles. Also, if I don't want suspenders to be shown for a special outfit or maybe Halloween, if he wants to be something that suspenders aren't a part of, then I can clip them to his pants, put them on, and put a shirt on over them so I can she can hide. These braces and my son will become good friends for years to come. And since they're adjustable, he'll find room in them for some time. So I would recommend them to any parent who has a child who cannot fit their pants because they are too skinny. These will be my saviors. Now I wish I had had that at my dad's wedding last month when his pants fell down to his ankles in the middle of the reception. Fortunately, my child is young enough not to be embarrassed or laugh about it.
